  • Chris is the owner of You Had Me At I Do and the wedding officiant for Florida’s Forgotten Coast. Public credentials he stands behind: 26+ years as an officiant and 400+ ceremonies.

    He writes and performs ceremonies in Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, St. George Island, Apalachicola, St. Joe Beach, Windmark Beach, Panama City, Panama City Beach, and Tyndall AFB — beach, backyard, venue, elopement, last-minute, vow renewal, and the Port St. Joe drive-through wedding.

    Chris also hosts the bride-facing show Planning Your I Do. The podcast is education for couples; the ceremony work is still the core of the business.

    What Chris actually does before you walk in

    Couples do not get a generic script with names swapped. Chris works from how you speak and what you want guests to feel, including optional Message to the Bride and Groom questions when you want that depth. He helps destination couples with Florida marriage-license timing for Gulf, Franklin, and Bay County, runs the rehearsal when you want one, and signs and returns the license after the ceremony.

    What he does not do: chairs, florals, lodging, or full weekend vendor logistics. That is planner/coordinator work.
