We want to make paying for our services as easy and transparent as possible. To that end, we accept the following payment methods:
- Cash
- Checks/Money Orders/Cashier Checks
- Crypto
- Credit/Debit
- Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay (pay in four installments)
- Venmo
We prefer crypto, cash, or checks (we’re not fans of paying bank and credit card processing fees…) but will gladly accept whichever method is most convenient for you. If you pay with crypto, we’ll give you an NFT of your marriage certificate.
- Our online system will accept credit, debit, Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay.
- You’ll need to mail us your check, money order, or cashier check.
- We’ll need to meet up to accept cash.
- If you’d like to pay by crypto or Venmo, let us know and we’ll send you our info.
To book us and reserve your date, we need a signed contract and nonrefundable 20% deposit. The balance is due before our services begin on the big day. If you cancel within 60 days of your wedding, the full contract amount is still due. If you cancel 61 days (or farther) out, you’re only out the deposit. In both cases, you’re issued a credit which you can use for future services at You Had Me At I Do.
You’re free to pay the deposit right away and then not make any additional payments until the big day. You’re also free to pay a little here and there between now and then – whatever works best for you.
As for tips, that’s completely up to you. We certainly won’t be offended if you don’t tip us. We will, however, be ecstatic if you do. Tips can be given directly to your DJ or officiant on the big day or paid online via the client area on our website after the fact. If you feel we did exactly what you expected, please don’t tip us. In our opinoin, tips should only be considered if you feel we went above and beyond or made your wedding absolutely perfect.
