Pull up in Port St. Joe. Hand Chris your Florida marriage license through the window. Two minutes later, you drive away married — license signed — without ever getting out of the car.
The fee is $100. This is only in Port St. Joe. It is not a walk-up. You have to schedule a time in advance.
Call (850) 888-2165 or use the contact form and ask for a drive-through wedding. Chris will give you the meeting spot and the time. Do not drive over hoping someone is standing there.
How a drive-through wedding works
- Schedule first. Pick a time with Chris. No appointment, no ceremony.
- Bring a valid Florida marriage license that has not been used yet. We cannot marry you on a blank piece of paper. If you still need the license, start with Florida marriage license for a Forgotten Coast wedding.
- Stay in the car. Pull up at the Port St. Joe spot you were given. You do not get out. Guests, if you bring any, can stay in their cars too.
- Two minutes. You hand over the license. Chris performs a short ceremony — enough to make it real, not a beach script with readings and a first kiss on the sand.
- Drive off signed. The license is fully signed. You leave with it.
What this is — and is not
This is for couples who already know they want it simple: legally married, in Port St. Joe, in the time it takes to go through a coffee window. It is still a real wedding. It is still Chris Truitt, the Forgotten Coast officiant.
It is not a Mexico Beach, Cape San Blas, or St. George Island ceremony. It is not Wisconsin. It is not the full custom ceremony we write for a beach, backyard, or venue. If you want to get out, stand in the sand, and have the ceremony you have been picturing, book a regular Port St. Joe wedding, an elopement, or a last-minute Forgotten Coast wedding.
Advance scheduling
Drive-through times are by appointment only. We do not keep a window open all day for surprise pull-ups. Call or write first. If that time is open, you will get a confirmation, a meeting spot in Port St. Joe, and what to have in your hand when you arrive (the license and $100).
