• Running a Successful Rehearsal

  • Rehearsals can be challenging. They turn into mini reunions oftentimes, with folks wanting to catch up rather than rehearse. They also frequently start late as we wait for a member or two to show up. However, Officiants. venues, and your dinner reservation are usually on a tight time frame.

Our suggestion? Tell your folks that the rehearsal begins 30 minutes before the actual start time. Have some beer, wine, or champagne available for those who show up on time (aka early). They’ll have time to visit and time to enjoy refreshments. Then, when your Officiant arrives shortly before the true scheduled start time, everyone including the latecomers will be ready to go. Those that were early will be in a great mood because of the libations and those that show up late will actually be early. It’s a beautiful thing!
