• It’s Too Late to Book a 2020 Peak Season Date

  • Every year around this time we are inundated with inquiries from couples engaged over the holidays who want to have their wedding sometime between May and October of this year. Unfortunately, we’re already booked. Truth be told, we’ve been booked for the past year plus. Peak season dates usually book 12-18 months in advance for single client vendors like DJs, officiants, photographers, and videographers. While you may luck out and find a vendor who had a cancellation due to something like a military deployment, you’re probably otherwise out of luck.

To be perfectly honest, planning a wedding a few months out will most likely be a complete nightmare. It takes time to make the thousands of decisions you’ll need to make for your wedding and it takes time for your vendors to prepare for the most important day of your life.

If you’re under a time crunch due to pregnancy, insurance, benefits, taxes, or other reasons, it’s perfectly acceptable to have a private legal ceremony right away and then have the full ceremony and reception later (your guests need never know that you’re already legally married). We actually do this quite often. You’ll get the immediate benefits you need while still having all the pomp and circumstance of your dream wedding later, having hired the perfect vendors well in advance.
