It’s Booking Season!

40% of couples that get engaged do so between Thanksgiving and Valentines Day. The most popular day? Christmas Day! That means wedding vendors are flooded with inquiries in January from brides eager to start the planning process and dates start booking up very quickly.

Here’s a bit of advice – plan well in advance! The best wedding vendors book 12 to 18 months out. If you got engaged on Christmas of 2018, we’d recommend looking at dates in 2020. That way you’ll be able to get the best vendors on the best dates. If you try to plan a Saturday wedding in June of 2019 during January of 2019, all the good vendors will already be taken by ‘plan ahead’ brides and you’ll be stuck with getting the leftover vendors who nobody really wants.

We get it – now that you’re engaged, you want to seal the deal as quickly as possible! But, as they say, anything truly worth having is worth waiting for. Plan in advance. It’ll make it easier on you. Having a little patience and being willing to wait will give you the opportunity to ensure everything is perfect.
